Sedation After-Care

• NO alcohol or recreational drug use for 24 hours after appointment
• Drink plenty of water after the sedation and the day after for a more uneventful recovery.
• Do not drive until 24 hours after taking sedation medication.
• On the day of surgery avoid taking pain medication containing codeine.
• Someone must stay with you 4-6 hours after leaving the dental office.
